A Woman's Right to Shoes.

I just wanted to tell you that tonight I tried on a pair of Marc Jacobs shoes with a $798-tax-not-included price tag and that I might own them soon.*

I'll let you think about that for a minute.

"I get something out of it, when I feel bad I like to treat myself. Clothes never look any good, food just makes me fatter, shoes always fit"

In the meantime I'll tell you about how funny the saleslady was :) She so works for commissions she felt like she needed to compliment my hair, my dress and my tiny feet and be outrageously enthousiastic about it. She even pretended with much emphasis that she liked our kid, who was running around everywhere. So fyi my hair really is cute these days, I've got this whole 1920's thing going on, but my dress is just from the Gap, boring-looking. And given my height it's a good thing I'm not a size 8 or 9, I can't be short AND have big feet, that would just be unfair. So if you're feeling a little low, my advice is, go to Marc Jacobs at W4th & Bank, try on some shoes, drink some San Pellegrino, pretend that the saleslady's compliments are sincere, awesome ego booster and pretty good recipe for HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Also there are plans about me moving to the upper east side, which is so unexciting, but tonight Brooklyn came up, which is so much more awesome. So maybe you can come check out my new hood next year, east 80's, Park Slope or Brooklyn Heights :)

And then I had french fries at Café Cluny.

How was your day ?

* As a gift huhuhuhu. And I couldn't find a good picture online, sorry, but that only makes them even more desirable and I'm okay with that.
